Hold me back, my timeline of the 12th Century is almost complete!

I usually spend all of Monday perfecting my "fuck you" look. I think it's working as no one has approached me yet, and I am able to remain in a high state of paranoia. Careers I should stay away from: 1. Customer Service Representative and 2. Public Relations Expert. I am feeling rather introspective and cranky today, Jesus! I'm TIRED of feeling introspective and pissy, sick of being an Artist, grad student AND sick of trying to create or make meaning. Wanting very much to shred everything I have ever created. I did that once, I simply destroyed all of my art work, swept it into a giant heap and lit it on fire. It was cathartic and heart wrenching at the same time. I now think its hilariously juvenile, thank goodness I'm not one of these dramatic art faggots who get all blubbery about their work! Perhaps the art works needed to be burned. Just a thought and that's a no.I was thinking that perhaps I would start getting a little more autobiographical with my 'blog' but I am struggling. I usually write about music or cultural ephemera as a way to escape every day life and a way to catalog: music, art, thoughts, interests etc. I often think to myself, who gives a rats ass about MY emotional take on things, I hate writing crap like that! Yuck, who needs serious bullocky sentimental hoo ha ha! For God's sake I'm not Salinger or Hemingway! Then again, I am rather fond of eavesdropping on what others are doing or thinking etc. I do prefer to skim an interesting link or graphic but will settle for and savor an interesting comment or two. I will try to expand a little with the 'blahg' entries. I'm shy, takes me awhile!
I picked up my copy of Andy Warhol's America it is filled with great quotes, photos and interesting ideas like:
"You can only live life in one place at a time. And your own life while it's happening to you never has any atmosphere until it's a memory".
It is difficult to write accurately about 'right now'. This is true, isn't it? It's not until we have gained distance from something that we have any sort of perspective...proper or not.
and another...
"People with television dreams are really disappointed with everything in their lives. They don't please their bosses and get promoted every other month like Darren did on "Bewitched", they don't have next door neighbors who are fascinated by every little thing that happens to them, like the Mertzes on " I Love Lucy" and their day-to-day problems aren't a snap to take care of like they were on "Make Room For Daddy."
Perhaps we are all looking to be Mertzes or Ricardos? Is that why I write or 'blog'?... because I want to be a Mertze or a Ricardo? You have to have both, they don't operate independently. We are a computer world of Ricardos and Mertzes. Perhaps it is all summed up in the film "Being There" where we have Chance the Gardener saying;
"I like to watch"
I love to watch don't you? And Andy on life again:
'I'm the type who'd be happy not going anywhere as long as I was sure I knew exactly what was happening at the places I wasn't going to. I'm the type who'd like to sit home and watch every party I'm invited to on a monitor in my bedroom".
Watch I will, and read and read and read and perhaps write a little too..perhaps I will get some more painting done one day, but not today.

I have often been listed as the official GoGo Boy for underground indy sensations Chicks on Speed. True, I have been known to 'wiggle it' in a cage or two, but have since retired to pursue a career in Home Economics. Those of you who have received my luscious 'Apple Brown Betty Recipe' know what I am talking about. If you are one of the poor sods who missed out, please e-mail me and I will gladly send you a copy of my dish. Oh by the way fuckers, I did NOT pilfer the recipe from Florida Evans.
Getting back to my Chicks, they have released a new 12 inch.maxi record and CDEP titled CHICKS ON SPEED-CHIX 52. You guessed it they are Tackling sacred 'New Wave Ground' and giving those fab bitches of the B-52's their due. Yes Yes all the classics are here including 'Give Me Back My Man' plus non-album versions of 'Strobelight' and 'Song for a Future Generation.' But that ain't it, you also get a brand new original tune entitled "Chixmachine." In case you haven't heard and have been falling all over yourselves to buy this...which ain't bad; COS are artists, record producers, cable television hosts, musicians and fashion designers. Why design, when you can design a pretty label to sew into your clothes, brilliant! Ain't it!? It is indeed. Their sound is Nihilistic Euro Disco Glam Trash with glimpses of Punk Funk and Electronic Ephemera. Look for COS' twisted version of the Normal / Grace Jones' classic 'Warm Leatherette' ...At finer department stores everywhere. Oh e-mail me if you have a hot prob.obtaining. In closing I am in no way responsible for any stereos, computers, CD players, cats or electronic units spontaneously combusting upon initial listen. Lather...rinse....repeat.
