Written under the gun, 5 degrees and I seem to have Streptococcal throat, caca is right. Saturday morning enjoying a cup of Deejaarling tea, listening to Men Without Hats demo tapes that someone very special and cool gave me, Thank you! it is completely fantastic. Reminds me of Toronto, Montreal, Detroit, Noir Leather and my friend from Ukraine, Marta. Utter Space is the most wonderful of techno pop creations. Clearly the record companies screwed up and did not capture any of Ivan's brilliantly warm electronic workmanship. Shame, perhaps one day eh? Viva la Montreal and Viva la Ivan.
Oh! I was going to write something very 'bloglike' expounding on this medium and how poorly I understand it's power. I really wanted to construct a very 'Celebublogtante' entry but you are spared an overly smarmy secret brag. Instead I will just say that it is interesting to be linked to a German Language site (zeit). MALO-rama/Notizen looks very interesting, I wish I could read German however but I am only partially fluent in French. Ooo look at the pic of my MUG! That's funny since I am now sporting a very Amish like beard. Sexy picture of Jonno hello Littleminx lovey and looky! there is Ultrasparky Mind you I have no concept of content, but as they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity only PUBLICITY. I don't really buy that last comment, but it is funny.
Damn them! Art heist at the Swedish National Museum Stolen were two Renoirs; 'Conversation with the Gardener' and 'Young Parisian'. They are not releasing the name of the Rembrandt that was lifted.

In a land that has long forgotten Margaret Bourke White there is wind, snow and salt. Corrosion eats away at the rusted landscape, remains of Lots Wife. Train tracks slash countless roads that cut and dodge the darkness. Smokestacks line the outer rim of road leading down into Tremont Ave. near Trowbridge. Here is where the people of Lewis Hine once lived, fathers and sons of powerhouse mechanics mothers of Mary and Martha. Here is where the endless stream of heavy headed sleepy children play, their father, a fixer of Fords, drinker of beer. This is the house I pass many times, somehow there is story here where I have previously found none. I file this item away for use another time. People speak and lifelines will often emerge. A paintbrush is dragged, lucid and quiet, careful not to wake the didactic brain. Somehow, through it all I remain hopeful and involved in marking, making and telling. Hopelessly addicted to image and word, jonzing for voices that speak from authors and books. I often struggle with authors I feel I should eventually read. It angers me when I don't get my fix, I struggle with you Jack Kerouac, you goddamn son of a bitch. You mislead and fail to tell, I demand to be let in on your joke! Not likely that your voice will suddenly emerge from a book flung ass over tin cup. You will never be J.D.Salinger who speaks "Hey kid, you kill me, you like words, my books are lousy with em, I can sometimes be corny but at least I won't tell you a crumby story with lots of phony talking." Perhaps Charles Poore said it best in his 1961 New York Times review of Franny and Zooey; 'The characters in J. D. Salinger's stories are always tap dancing expertly on one another's nerves. They are bright Tarkingtonian people in Kafka's dark wold, full of high spirits and low boiling points.' Gosh Esme, that is damn funny!

(smirkingly...) We are getting an unexpected tmpte de neige (snowstorm). I have the strong urge to lancer des boules de neige. I would like to have a nice tincture of soothing and demulcent marshmallow root tea. Would you care for some Man Elixir?
