Shed the work week, sink deep into the night, unravel...

The world's most boring article on web blogging and journalism, complete with the words niche, d.i.y, gatekeepers and media ecosystems. What the article fails to address is editorial content blurring with advertising. Newspapers and especially magazines represent a commercial interest, they sell ads, have to move the goods and increase readership. Impartial JOURNALISM, now there's a novel idea, sure reporters check facts, but they also split hairs and give lip service to keep editors and advertisers happy.

'N Sync's Timberlake Settles Beauty School Lawsuit! Police Patrol Course As Elvis! Data Dada and Disinformation Cutting and pasting liberally from current headlines submitted by users, this site's robotic mind creates news items out of a fever dream...

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ACHTUNG! Augment your disco w/The Conet Project Recordings of Shortwave Numbers Stations CD series. For more than 30 years the Shortwave radio spectrum has been used by the worlds intelligence agencies to transmit secret messages. These messages are transmitted by hundreds of Numbers Stations. These transmissions are the perfect method of anonymous, one way communication. These stations use very rigid schedules, and transmit in many different languages, employing male and female voices repeating strings of numbers or phonetic letters day and night, all year round. The voices are of varying pitches and intonation; there is even a German station (The Swedish Rhapsody) that transmits a female child's voice! Read more about the project and listen to a few of the eerie, broadcasts. The Conet Project is published by very forward thinking and acting record label Irdial Discs, pioneering a 'free music philosophy'.

Even more on transmissions. I was checking out Remi's site Idiote.org this morning, which is always a pleasure and a completely brilliant 'heads up' on what's the '411'. I wanted to find out if it was true that FNAC stopped selling iPods in France, because the amplifier was too strong. Ah of course, it was all a hilarious rumor and misunderstanding, doh! Anyway, I stumbled upon a rather remarkable article via Remi on SHIFT about Iranian weblogs, brilliant stuff, power to the people, not the structure indeed!

Ain't it true what your Mama say, don't skip breakfast baby boy! No food = no energy, spinning this jockohomo out of control. Twine twirling off the spool, unraveling body check. I thought I could get away with a blue Powerade, sugar gave me weak knees and a headrush, go for the protein. Today was fucked, complete with a migraine. Going to turn out the lights, sink into the bed with an iPod full of Nina Hagen. Cosma Shiva...

One last item...Can artists legally appropriate other artists' images into their work as part of something bigger? The US Appeals Court says they may, ruling in favor of artist Barbara Kruger and her work 'It's a Small World But Not If You Have To Clean It'. "Photographer Thomas Hoepker and his friend Charlotte Dabney, had sought damages stemming from the use and exhibition of an image of Dabney within a work created by Barbara Kruger." The pair had also sued the Whitney Museum and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art for selling copies of Kruger's work in their giftshop. MORE from Art Newspaper.

Swiss Miss Instant Cocoa! Yes, it is indeed fall out here in Ohioland, U.S.A. the trees are beginning to turn and there's talk of a hayride out at Grovers Corners. Afterwards there's cider for all before we take the train to Petticoat Junction where grandpa will....wait a minute, that's television, not my life. Ahhhh, Just joshin ya, just yanking yer chain, but it is indeed the first day of autumn or as Percy BYSSHE Shelley put it so beautifully:

The day becomes more solemn and serene
When noon is past--there is a harmony
In autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!

Gush, and a pooch that doesn't like to have his picture taken (see below) Morning Glories that are still in full bloom, a playlist update and an ever pulsating edit of a bio page that is becoming more fluid, more blue, more velvetox.
