John McGeoch, a veteran of the British punk movement, has died at the age of 48. The guitarist, who co-founded Manchester band Magazine and later played with Souxsie and the Banshees and John Lydon's Public Image Limited, died in his sleep last night. Friday, Three former members of that much-lamented New York buzz band Jonathan Fire Eater The Walkmen filled up a smoke filled back bar. A bit of screaming, rhythmic slashing, rattling hexbreakers, and sonic eargasms, were mighty tasty, but no tales of wonder or woe, just fun.
Saturday, The Black Keys, in Akron, Ohio. Sexy and ever so beautifully fucked. Thickfreakness has been on heavy rotation in the iron kingdom for some time now, super sleazy, sexy, dirty, and just damn wrong for two white boys. The CD gets me to push the fuck out of the weights, fun night meeting the band, hanging with my rock chick sister and just drinking up the night...ohhh ahhh!
I think, Lever 2000 is definitely the best smelling soap on a man, with Irish Spring Sport and Shield coming in a close second. Smell Camay, and run the other way!
