7 Years of Jockohomo

Hey, not bad for a shy midwestern guy, seven years! Seven years of Jockohomo, and as always AD free! Below is a self portrait of what I looked like when I started, this is what I look like now, except there’s a pack of Kools and a bottle of Crown Royal on my desk.
That said, I don’t really have a blog Daddy to blame for all of this, but I do have a blog Mom, and that would be Annie and her weblog Out of Order, thanks Annie. There’s been quite a few high points over the years, like being featured in Art Forum not for my Art work, but for the weblog. A few low points, okay well…several, I won’t mention those. Picking up a lifetime achievement award somewhere, a special mention for ancient gay history somewhere else. I’d like to say thank you if you’re reading, thanks for putting up with all my crazy ideas. Okay I don’t want to get too mushy or anything but a big thanks to all the other bloggers, all the readers and all the cool men and women I’ve had the pleasure of meeting or getting to know over the years. So yea, seven years, Happy Birthday Jockohomo, you’ve been good to me.

Nice ASCII art. Congratulations & thanks for the all the words music modern ideas…
Happy Blogbirthday! Congrats and thanks for being here for seven great years.
Congratulations, bubba! Keep on truckin’.
Yay!!!!
Y’know when I started writing software, this was the very first thing I did. I wrote a routine in assembler to “read” a photograph image file and write the pixel values direct to either the print device or a file.
Yours is VERY nice.
Awww thanks guys! Thanks for reading!
Wherever you go from here, it remains against your better judgment.
Happy New Year !!
Of all the blogs I look at, yours is my all time favourite – kinda think you must be a made up guy (are you a virtual gay?) – Jockohomo reflects many of the same rather bizarre set of interests that I’ve collected over the years. From one slightly anachronistic gay with an eye to physical fitness and the visual and acoustic arts to another – thank you, thank you, and thank you again
Indeed. Congratulations. Jockohomo has been a blog-inspiration for me and remains at the top of my RSS.
thanks for all your work, JH. i enjoy the blog very much. happy birthday!

Happy bloggin’ burfday! Looking forward to the continued stream of counter-culture consciousness.
Happy Birthday Jocko. Your becoming a man now…..not so much a GRUNT anymore, hehehe

Congrats on 7 Years!
Congrats Jocko!
Jocko:
Love your blog & I read it regularly. Smart, well-written & always full of surprises. I judge its value by the disappointment I feel when you’re not posting. Usually, a lot!
Best,
Jim Cory
Your my kind of manlog…er you know what I mean.
JH is the only site I check as often as I check my email.
Thanks for all the wit and pro gay sensibility.
best,
Bede (reader since 1999)
Congrats, you decrepit whore.
Just kittin! You’re not decrepit!
pee ess: I can testify Jocko is 100% real – it’s just that vampires don’t photograph.
Many thanks
To you

By so many of us
Thanks for all your hard work. I really appreciate what you do, you’ve turned me on tons of cool shit over the years not to mention all the music! You make me want to visit Ohio!
Congrats and thanks for all the juicy reads, JH!
Thanks so much for an always entertaining, informative, and gorgeous-to-look-at time!
happy birthday
my blog will be two in four days, so you are still ahead of me.
And thank you…for the music ( no, abba does not get a royalty for that), the images, and for being a man.
Which reminds me, I saw a close up of Bret Favre yesterday. He is going gray on the edges, and looks hotter than ever. Getting traded from the Falcons is the best thing that ever happened to him.
Hey congratulations! An impressive run so far..
Keep up the good work.
PS you don’t smoke do you?
Thanks bro and for the record, I do NOT smoke. It clashes with my healthy lifestyle.
Happy Anniversary. 7 years in blog years is like 70 human years.
You were one of the first blogs I ran across in 2002? and you are by far the best out there and you will always be my favourite…I can’t imagine what I’d do without you and your excellent posts to entertain and inform me on a daily basis…
….here’s to many more years of Jockohomo!
Happy birthday mate! Love your work, it brightens and inspires my working day.
Geesh Louise!! Somebody get to Cleveland and help Jocko, he’s turned into some kinda skeletal thingy…
Congratulations! You’re an inspiration! Cheers!
KEEP ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD JOCKO !
Happy Birthday!!!
I have been reading you for three of those seven years, and I have always been too shy to comment! So, now I’m breaking my comment-phobia to commemorate this momentous occasion! Congratulations buddy!
happy blirthday indeed! i wasn’t lucky enough to stumble ‘cross the site until just this year, so i’m looking forward to the next 7 years o’ jocko.
Hey Congrats! Love your blog!
A few years later, I’m still amazed at such source of fresh, non-recycled ideas. Once again, thank you.
Congratulations, 7 years, and always interesting, btw(very cool ascii pic), heres hoping you’ve got many more blogging years ahead.
Well.. happy birthday! It has always been a pleasure visiting your site – very inspiring.
One of of my fav blogs from the other side of the sea. Much love and peace, big man.
Gratz! And I’ve actually followed you for most of that.

Congratulations and thanks for the site. “What cheer, eh?” — Doyler And keep up the rugby posts! Woo-hoo!
Happy Bloggiversary n stuff!
Congratulations on seven years! I greatly admire your ability to post good content regularly; most bloggers (myself included) tend to fall short on one of those fronts.
Congrats and muchos thanks for keeping me entertained (and often titillated) at work and at play.
*GrrrF!!!
well done mate. i really think you have one of the most inspired mixes of news, music, ideas and art out there at the moment and you deserve all the kudos you get.
Congrats on Seven!
Congratulations Jim. It’s almost hard to believe that self-portrait is you since, in my mind, you are still 21 years old.
Awww I remember it well Kevi Kev, underneath the disco ball at the Ritz, not so long ago! HA!
U rock!!! :_))
One more voice in the chorus: Go Jimbo!
As a token of my appreciation for all you do, I’ll share my find of the day with you (on the outside chance you haven’t seen him), the original Mr. Olympia Larry Scott.
Congrats on your birthday!
You have been an inspiration to me – you continually push yourself and your work shows it. Content and design are always excellent and a perfect match.
Many thanks – you’re awesome!
Happy Birthday sex pot – I am very happy to hear your great news.
Keep up the good work and stay sexy.
Hey – how about an interview on my trunkcast some time?
SHY? You’ve got to be freakin’ kiddin!
Good grief! To both the 7 years and the 53/4 comments. Congratulations re both.
I’ve been searching for the name of the photographer/s who took the original Silt Cut advertising photographs for Saachi and Saachi, and your blog has appeared somehow in the search results. I’m doing some work on metonymics and visual tropes in photography, if that explains my interest.
Anyway, hello again, very glad to have found you. You’re in my RSS reader.
Congratulations – still here reading – although it’s been only three years for me.
Really appreciate your blog – and it’s nice to see your face for a change. VERY nice face.
And btw, any idea where I can find a filter like the one used to create the hot retro-text pict of yourself? I remember when they used to sell those on T-shirts in Santa Monica. Very cool! :0
I don’t check in for a while and see what happens…
Happy belated 7th birthday, Professor Muscle!
Happy Birthday Jockohomo!
