Brown Wins WEC Featherweight Title

My favorite “ginger snap” Mike Thomas Brown beat boy band basher Uriah Faber to win the (WEC) World Extreme Cage Fighting Featherweight Championship last Wednesday. Faber who held his title for nearly 2 years let a small mistake rise up and bite him in the ass with Brown flooring the champ to win a technical knock out at 2:23 in the 1st round. What’s more amazing is Brown secured the win with torn cartilage in his ribs suffered just before he landed the crushing right hand that dropped Faber (yikes, ouch!). Congratulations to Faber who handled the loss with great humility, Uriah is really a rock star among Martial Arts enthusiasts, a true showman who often walked a dangerous line between brazen confidence and foolhardiness. The rematch between these two mini-Titans is going to rock!

Well, Uriah wins for coolest name, but that Mike Brown is quite the little melanin-free slab o’ beef, isn’t he?

So, I guess this means that Brown left Faber in something of a Uriah heap, no? Ah, I love it when a pun works on 0 levels.
